We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Waiter/Head Waitress to oversee our front-of-house dining operations and provide exceptional service to our guests. The Head Waiter/Head Waitress will lead the waitstaff team, ensuring smooth service, customer satisfaction, and adherence to restaurant standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the waitstaff, including assigning duties, providing training, and monitoring performance.
- Ensure that all guests receive prompt, courteous, and personalized service throughout their dining experience.
- Assist with greeting and seating guests, taking reservations, and managing the flow of the dining room.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of food orders.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and other furnishings.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of dining room supplies, such as linens, flatware, and glassware.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement procedures for improving service quality and efficiency.
- Monitor dining room atmosphere and guest satisfaction, making adjustments as needed to enhance the overall experience.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Waiter/Head Waitress or in a similar supervisory role in a high-end restaurant or fine dining establishment.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate and fulfill guests' needs effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve excellence.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including wine service and menu presentation.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Prior experience with reservation systems and point-of-sale software is preferred.
- TIPS certification or equivalent training in responsible alcohol service is a plus.
